Misty tea garden on a hillside

Beverage expertise

From the leaf.

To the machine.

To the cup.

Automat designs and builds tea and coffee machines. Behind every cup is a second craft: choosing the tea, specifying the spice, balancing the blend and calibrating the machine to repeat it.

01 — Origin

Assam tea.

The development brief starts with Assam tea.

Assam tea is robust and full-bodied enough to keep its character through milk and spice, which is why it anchors a milk-based masala cup.

Sourcing

Leaf is chosen by season as well as origin.

Second-flush Assam is selected for its fuller, often malty cup, a profile that stays present after milk and spice go in. A defined origin keeps the base consistent from one batch of tea to the next.

02 — Selection

Selected by grade.

Leaf grade decides how fast and how strongly a tea extracts.

Processed leaf

Grade is set in processing.

CTC processing crushes, tears and curls the leaf into granules. Broken-leaf grades are then combined in the blend for strength, body and colour.

03 — Spice

Tea + spice → flavour.

Spice is specified, not added to taste.

Specified by composition · granule size · inclusion

Spices shown are those specified across the programme. Each blend declares its own ingredients on pack — Masala Chai is the spiced blend; Ginger Chai and Cardamom Chai are single-spice.

04 — Blending

Blended with purpose.

The target cup sets the blend, and later the machine recipe.

Components are balanced so extraction stays controlled and the tea stays recognisable beneath milk and spice. The same target cup is carried forward into the machine recipe.

The recipe is where the blend meets the machine.

Tea and sugar

BrewNex holds three tea blends and sugar in four canisters and doses them into the pot.

Heat and time

BrewNex boils under sensor control; Brewtec boils tea in its own tea brewer.

Milk

Brewtec works with fresh milk held hot in a boiler beside the machine.

Batch

BrewNex brews from one cup to fifty in a single batch.

Calibration

Recipes are set on the machine, and recipe calibration is part of Automat IoT Cloud.

We don’t stop at developing the tea blend.

We engineer the brewing process around the intended cup.

The blend and the machine are developed together. That is where BrewNex and BrewTec come in.

07 — Engineered brewing

Once calibrated, the recipe travels with the machine to the site.

The same cup is served wherever the machine goes. BrewNex is documented for offices, cafés, factories and institutions, and IoT Cloud keeps consumption and ingredient levels visible after installation.
